I give a Kahoots in class! So do my students!
As we go back to school, we all have that "fun" first week of rules, procedures, guidelines, and more that we must review with our students. It can be boring and dry. It can be hard to keep the students engaged and actively listening. So this year, instead of building a jeopardy game or come up with a "pop quiz" to confirm they absorbed the information, we Kahooted!
The new JUMBLE feature was great for the activity too! Instead of a right or wrong answer, the jumble has the students put the 4 option in order. It was amazing. I have 5 out of 6 classes completely engaged. They were cheering on each other, counting down with the clock, outbursts of emotion with the scores, loving the top 5 ranking, and asking to Kahoot again.
It was great! I had students crowded around the smart board. I got immediate feedback on where the class stood with understanding the content. Plus the right answer(s) were on the board after each question for review (if needed). I am so glad I did it. Just wish I had taken a photo of the classses. It was awesome. Made Friday classes go by quickly too! Definately going to Kahoot again!
